Poet Kathryn Kysar joins us to talk about her newest collection of poetry, _Pretend the World_. Kathryn Kysar is also the author of _Dark Lake_ and she edited _Riding Shotgun: Women Write About Their Mothers_. A recipient of fellowships from the Minnesota State Arts Board, the National Endowment for the Humanities, among others, Kysar recently served on the board of directors for the Association of Writers and Writing Programs and teaches at Anoka-Ramsey Community College.
Peter Bognanni also joins us in the studio to talk about his novel _The House of Tomorrow_, which was a Minnesota Book Award nominee in fiction and is a finalist for the LA Times Award for First Fiction. A graduate of the Iowa Writers’ Workshop, his fiction has appeared in numerous publications. He is a 2008 Pushcart Prize nominee and his short story “The Body Eternal” was chosen by Stephen King as one of the 100 most distinguished stories of 2006.
