7/3/2007 Dig Up The Roots

What do lush sounding French orchestrations of Milhaud LeGrand and the eventual ending with Steve Reich have to do with Roots music and/or The Forth of July? I'm not sure either but it sounds pretty good getting from there to here. Pres, Bird and Miles; Politicians moving one foot after the other into their mouthes; children's songs, songs of the road and carnival barkers. Yup, sounds like the Forth of July to me.
