_1/6 in a nutshell..._
Let's cut straight to the new feature inaugurated this week... the GotchaSKAvered Ska Cover-Of-The-Month Club! This month: Byron Lee's _Jamaica Ska,_ and strictly cover versions thereof, and starting off the feature with a mystery record we couldn't trace back to its original source! All we know is, somewhere in Mexico back in the '60s, _Jamaica Ska_ was covered by somebody named Tammy. Tammy who? Mystery. Label? Mystery. Ever officially released? Mystery. And this thing's good. Real good! The 4@4 was basically an Air Space Museum of Ska, the Opening Oldies set began incorporating more post-'60s ska, and on the Funn front, Milt Jackson and Xavier Cugat had an extra candle on their cakes this week. Pffffff!
