5/27/2007 Century Song

Today we listened to the great Finnish accordionist, Maria Kalaniemi, recorded at the Nordic Roots Festival 2006 at the Cedar Cultural Center. Many thanks to recording engineer Chris Dronen.

During the second hour we heard music from Charlie Parr's New release, Jubilee. We also heard music from the Gyoto Monks recorded live at the Cedar Cultural Center, plus music from the World of Gypsies (Arc). The last half hour of the show we had an interview and live music from local songster, Raymon 'd Yates celebrating his new release Gates of Sun and Shadow.
