1/26/2010 Dig Up The Roots

Yiddish Swing Brazillian 78 RPM records sound so good when the music is let out of them. We played a lot of 78 RPM records on this show. Some great, near great, way out and WTF? Doris Day, Louis Armstrong and a few versions of the tune Delicado.

Robert Gordon Link Wray began the rockabilly set off - always a crowd pleaser it seems. We stayed away from the big names and tried to play some of the odder stuff. Signifying Monkey is a great tune allowing lots of bragging and boasting. Some versions can not even be brought within 100 yards of a radio station without causing the FCC to blush.
