Cocktail time: The Chartreuse Swizzle
1 1/4 oz Chartreuse (Green)
1 oz pineapple
3/4 oz lime
1/2 oz Falernum
Add ingredients to a cocktail shaker. Add 6 oz crushed ice and shake for a few seconds. Dump ice and all into a tall frosted chimney glass. Add more crushed ice to fill. Stir vigorously with straw or spoon, or with electric drink mixer for 5-10 seconds.
Garnish with mint and a sprinkle of nutmeg (freshly grated if you've got it whole).
This one really depends on three things: 1) don't be sloppy. Make 'em one at a time and follow the measurements; 2) crushed ice, not cubes; 3) you need to get some ice water into the drink so that's why I both shake and then stir/mix.
They're kinda addictive and a little too easy to drink, so be careful. With these baby's you might actually go from buying a new bottle of Chartreuse every 10 years to buying one every other week.
Fresh, a little spicy, slightly slightly sweet, but in a good way...yum
