The vinyl re-issue release party for Grupo OZ on Secret Stash Records will be held Tuesday, March 15 at Cause Spirits and Sound Bar on Lake and Lyndale in Minneapolis. Starting at 8pm, the party will feature deejays associated with KFAI spinning Latin Funk and boogaloos.

KFAI presents Austin, TX artist Carrie Elkin: at the Aster Cafe on Wednesday, March 9th at 9 pm as part of the Womenfolk Live concert series. Celebrating the release of her new Red House release Call It My Garden, she will be playing a special show hosted by DJ Ellen Stanley.

Join co-hosts Janis Lane-Ewart and Beverly Cottman for a special IWD version of the Collective Eye:, Saturday, March 5th, from Noon to 1:30 p.m. Listen and be inspired as resident women writers read, recite and perform their work.

Local musician Albert Elmore has a new release coming from TOTALLY GROSS NATIONAL PRODUCT: Albert – James St Murder Laden Mitten Wonder. In honor of his upcoming release and coinciding tour Albert will be sitting in and spinning some tracks from his brand new LP.

Good & Country: will be presenting an all 1970s country music show on Saturday, February 12th from 3-5 pm. The program will feature the original hit versions of songs heard on country radio back then-none of those re-recordings that you may find on hastily prepared and ill conceived compilations which can be found just about everywhere.

If you like the old psychedelic, blues, rock evocative of Blue Cheer, you’ll LOVE VOODOO. This is a new local band that’s getting traction. Lewis Franti and Paul Sauey continued their past musical relationship with the key addition of Johnny Kasai on guitar.
