The vinyl re-issue release party for Grupo OZ on Secret Stash Records will be held Tuesday, March 15 at Cause Spirits and Sound Bar on Lake and Lyndale in Minneapolis. Starting at 8pm, the party will feature deejays associated with KFAI spinning Latin Funk and boogaloos.

KFAI presents Austin, TX artist Carrie Elkin:http://www.carrieelkin.com at the Aster Cafe on Wednesday, March 9th at 9 pm as part of the Womenfolk Live concert series. Celebrating the release of her new Red House release Call It My Garden, she will be playing a special show hosted by DJ Ellen Stanley.

The program will feature the original hit versions of songs heard on country radio back then-none of those re-recordings that you may find on hastily prepared and ill conceived compilations which can be found just about everywhere.

If you like the old psychedelic, blues, rock evocative of Blue Cheer, you’ll LOVE VOODOO. This is a new local band that’s getting traction. Lewis Franti and Paul Sauey continued their past musical relationship with the key addition of Johnny Kasai on guitar.
