Author, entertainer and motivational speaker Willie Jolley, will appear on the March 26th episode of Conversations with Al McFarlane. Named as “One of the Outstanding Five Speakers in the World” by Toastmasters International, Jolley has been invited to discuss his book “A Setback Is A Setup For A Major Comeback.

This month, the Association of Independents in Radio, Inc. (AIR) selected KFAI as a finalist in a new national competition to extend tap roots into the local community and broaden the station’s service to a wider public. Hundreds of producers and radio and television stations across the U.S. responded to the call for proposals. Winners will be announced on January 20, 2012.

The Women’s Foundation of Minnesota released their annual Status of Women and Girls in Minnesota report at the University of Minnesota last Thursday. The report is aimed to bring awareness of the issues facing the state’s female population today, and to influence policymakers and the general public to do something about it.
