Outlaws in the Swamps

St. Paul’s Independent Filmmaker Project and the Knight Foundation have just announced the winner of their screenplay competition, which is a $10,000 prize for one Minnesota writer. The winner is Andy Froemke. His screenplay is called “The Lowrie Gang,” which tells the true story of a mixed race band of outlaws that lived in the swamps and faced off with the Ku Klux Klan in North Carolina. Andy Froemke spoke about the story with Paul Brohaugh on the Thursday Morning Blend.
