Questions and Answers about Ranked Choice Voting

In just about two weeks, voters in St. Paul and Minneapolis will go to the polls to use Ranked Choice Voting in city elections.  In Minneapolis, some tightly contested, multi candidate races will give the relatively new Ranked Choice Voting system a chance to show its value – if voters AND candidates understand how to use it. 

Jeanne Massey joined KFAI’s Siobhán Kierans  in the studio – she’s the director of Fair Vote Minnesota, a group that has promoted Ranked Choice Voting.  Kierans started by asking how Ranked Choice voting is an improvement over the traditional method of voting.
