Big Joy: The Adventures of James Broughton (2013, DCP, 82 minutes)
A chronicle of the iconoclastic life of gay poet, filmmaker, and spiritual visionary James Broughton, one of the defining voices of the sexual revolution, whose groundbreaking artistic celebrations of sexuality and the body influenced generations of the 1960’s and 70’s to profoundly embrace life and “follow your own weird”. Co-directed with, Eric Slade and Dawn Logsdon. Stephen Silha is a freelance writer, filmmaker, facilitator, and futurist who met James Broughton at a gathering in 1989. They became fast friends, and Broughton mentored Silha for many joyful communicative years. Stephen will be at the screening to introduce the film. Shamey will talk about the 2014 Gay Games and the current situation of LGBT discrimination in Russia concerning the Olympics. Built upon the principles of Participation, Inclusion, and Personal Best™, since 1982, the Gay Games have empowered tens of thousands of LGBT artists and athletes through fellowship and friendly competition. The 2014 Gay Games presented by the Cleveland Foundation will be held in Cleveland + Akron, OH, USA, August 9-16, 2014.

"Consider the Lilies" by Stuart Fail is a dysfunctional mix of co-dependence and genuine love between Paul, an aging alcoholic painter and David, his agent. Set in Paris and New York, the play delves into the lives of these two men and their struggle to find meaning in their personal lives and the fickle world of art.
