Why Did The Turtle Cross the Road?
June 4, 2013
The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is asking people to leave turtles alone. At this time of year, turtles are often seen crossing roads to reach nesting areas. Carol Hall is a herpetologist with the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources. She spoke with Siobhan Keirans on KFAI’s Morning Blend about the appropriate etiquette for human / turtle interactions, and the risk to turtles when drivers don't pay attention. For more information about turtles you can visit the DNR website at DNR dot State dot MN dot US and typing “turtles” in the search bar.
