Hatcher Channels Dickens

Playwright Jeffrey Hatcher has written a play named "Faith," based on an obscure work by the famous English novelist Charles Dickens.   The play will get a staged reading a the Music Box Theater in Minneapolis, featuring Dickens' great-great-grandson, Gerald.

Charles Dickens went out of his way to make certain his book "The Life of Our Lord", a re-telling of the life of Christ, would not be published.   But now the book, also known as "The Dickens Family Bible", has served as a source of inspiration for Hatcher, who is widely respected for his dramatic adaptations.

Jeffrey Hatcher talked with KFAI's Dale Connelly.
