Hortman Seeks Funding to Build Transit

Transit advocates at the state legislature are pushing to create stable sources of funding for new bus, rail and pedestrian projects.
One proposal that was introduced last week would quadruple a metro-area transit-dedicated sales tax and reallocate some other taxes to fund transit in Greater Minnesota.
Representative Melissa Hortman of Brooklyn Park is the House author of the bill. She talked with Mike Fischbein on KFAI's Morning Blend.
