Louis King Interview

March 1, 2013
Jobseekers looking to find employment in construction have an opportunity to pick up some training through Summit Academy OIC.
A number of big construction projects are about to begin in the Twin Cities area, including the Vikings stadium in Minneapolis. Large public works jobs like this include a commitment to contract with firms headed by minorities and women, and they have hiring goals for individuals from these groups that are otherwise underrepresented in the construction trades.
Louis King is the president of Summit Academy, a non profit organization that offers training for people in a number of areas that apply to these major projects. He talked with KFAI's Paul Brohaugh on The Morning Blend.
