KFAI Producer Wins Youth Media Prize
February 28, 2013
Cynthia Ramsey, a young producer who studied media with KFAI's Emily Krumberger in an after-school program at Cristo Rey Jesuit High School, has won an award for her radio work at a gathering sponsored by the Twin Cities Youth Media Network.
Cynthia's story, "My Experience in the Foster Care System," took the audience choice award for radio at the TCYMN Showcase on February 16.
Since it’s founding twelve years ago, the TCYMN has become the longest standing youth media network in the country. The group's mission is to promote, advocate, support and share resources with the community of youth media makers and youth media arts educators.
KFAI is proud of its association with TCYMN, Cristo Rey, Emily and Cynthia!
In case you missed it when it was broadcast on KFAI, here's Cynthia's story.
