Lucy Kaplansky on KFAI Monday Morning

February 25, 2013
Pam is pleased to welcome Lucy Kaplansky to KFAI on Monday morning, February 25th, 11am. Lucy released her seventh solo album “Reunion” last year and we'll talk about that record as well as her upcoming concert celebrating her record label's 30th anniversary. All of Lucy's albums have been released by Red House Records and that's also the home of some of her great collaborators, including the trio Red Horse with Lucy, Richard Shindell and Eliza Gilkyson. Eliza's songwriting and Richard's voice grace the new album and Pam will ask Lucy about creating this mix of songs about connections, loves, loss, family.
We'll also hear about the special show happening this Friday, March 1st, at the O'Shaughnessy Auditorium at the College of St. Catherine. Their “Women of Substance” series welcomes Lucy as well as Claudia Schmidt and Heather Masse billed together as Women of Red House Records.
