House of the Transfiguration

Father Shannon Kearns drew national attention when he became the first transgender person ordained by the North American Old Catholic Church on Jan. 19.  The Old Catholic Church, which is separate from the Roman Catholic Church, ordains women, members of the LGBT community, married and divorced people.

Kearns is starting a new parish in Minneapolis called House of the Transfiguration. He spoke with KFAI’s Trisha Collopy on The Morning Blend.
