Brother Ali Interview, Part 1

February 15, 2013
Brother Ali wears many hats. The hip-hop artist best known for writing lyrics infused with social justice commentary is also a music producer, and a vocal activist in the Occupy Homes movement. When he came to visit us at KFAI last week, we found out he was a KFAI news volunteer back in his high school days.
Brother Ali will deliver the keynote address at the Nobel Peace Prize Forum held at Augsburg College next month. KFAI's Jemma Brown sat down with Brother Ali for an extended conversation, which will be presented in three parts during the Morning Blend.
This is part one.
