The Echo of Keno Evol

February 5, 2013
Antoine Duke is a poet, educator, dancer and director who works under the name Keno Evol. His debut spoken word album deals with his life in south Minneapolis on Chicago and Portland Avenues – it’s called “The Echo of Keno Evol.”
Evol told mnartists.org “With this project I really strived to capture the essence of two things: 1. a street that sits outside of my apartment with all the noises, smells and characters I am an audience member to on a daily basis and 2. Inside the actual apartment, encompassing both the noise, silence and dialog you hear and feel living inside.”
Keno Evol appeared on KFAI’s Morning Blend, and talked with music host Brenda Bell Brown.
