Stadium Team Sets Inclusion Goal

November 28, 2012
The government entity overseeing construction of the new Vikings stadium, the Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority, is asking the architecture firm designing the stadium to involve businesses owned by women and minoritie.
This is an expected part of any major government construction project once ground is broken, but it’s a little unusual to see it in the design phase.
Michelle Kelm-Helgen is the chair of the Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority. She spoke with KFAI's Mike Fischbein and Flor Frey on The Morning Blend.
Mike asked why the MSFA included a goal for using businesses owned by minorities and women in the design process when the law doesn’t require it.
