David Wellstone's Journey

It has been ten years since Senator  Paul Wellstone,  his wife Sheila and their daughter Marcia died with five others when their plane went down in the woods of Northern Minnesota.   For many Minnesotans this was a traumatic and emotional time – and the sudden loss of a popular political leader two weeks before the election was big news nationally.    But for the Wellstones’ surviving sons, Mark and David it was much more than that – a personal tragedy beyond comprehension.   David has written a book about his experience, called "Becoming Wellstone - Healing from Tragedy and Carrying On My Father's Legacy."  

He talked with KFAI’s Dale Connelly about dealing with the tragic plane crash.
