If you’ve had a burrito or a taco lately and are convinced that you love Mexican food even though you’ve never been to Mexico, you might be surprised to find out how much of what we think of as Mexican food is a North American creation.
Dr. Jeffrey Pilcher is a professor of history at the University of Minnesota, and he has written a book called “Planet Taco: A Global History of Mexican Food”.
Dr. Pilcher talked with Dale Connelly on KFAI's Morning Blend about the global reach of Mexican food.
