Minority Contractors Do A Makeover

August 24, 2012
The Upper Midwest Chapter of the National Association of Minority Contractors has been running a home makeover event for the past few years. The idea is to find deserving people in the community who need help fixing up their homes but don’t have the resources to get the work done. The past two years, the Minneapolis group has done home makeovers in North Minneapolis.
This year’s event is scheduled for this weekend, and they're still accepting volunteers who would like to help. If you'd like more information, you can call (612) 521 3366 or send an e-mail to staff@namc-um.org
Gilbert Odonkor and Robert Woods are leaders of the local chapter of the National Association of Minority Contractors. They talked with KFAI's Siobhan Kiernas.
