Steady Progress To End Homelessness

May 25, 2012
Story by Bob Hines
Heading Home Hennepin is a 10 year plan to end homelessness in Minneapolis and Hennepin County. The effort, launched in 2006, is built around an unprecedented level of cooperation by government, business, nonprofits, faith and philanthropic communities, and homeless and formerly homeless citizens. It features the consolidation of resources, energetic outreach to homeless people and regular “one-stop-shopping events where homeless people can learn about and take advantage of services designed to help them. Now that we’re more than halfway to the target date of 2016, we thought it would be a good time to check in with Cathy ten Broeke, Director of the Office to End Homelessness for Minneapolis and Hennepin County. She talked with KFAI's Bob Hines during the weekely news.
