Legendary guitarist Johnny Winter interviewed on Freewheelin'
April 17, 2012
Tune in to Freewheelin' on Wednesday, April 18 as host Jackson Buck interviews the legendary guitarist, singer, producer Johnny Winter. Johnny Winter is a guitar hero best known for his high-energy blues-rock albums and live performances.
Constantly shifting between simple country blues in the vein of Robert Johnson, to all-out electric slide guitar blues-rock, Johnny has always been one of the most respected singers and guitar players in rock and the clear link between British blues-rock and American Southern rock.
Winter produced three Grammy Award-winning albums for blues legend Muddy Waters. He also recorded several Grammy-nominated blues albums and was included in Rolling Stone magazine's list of the "100 Greatest Guitarists of All-Time".
Freewheelin' airs from 2:00-4:00 Wednesday every afternoon.
