On March 24th, a photo exhibit will go on display at the Whittier Gallery at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design that features the images and recorded testimony of thirteen young Somali Men. The project is an attempt to document the lives of these men as they try to feel at home in Minnesota.
The Youth / Dhalinyarada, the work of a self-taught documentarian, Mohamud Mumin, who has spent five years capturing images of the social lives of Somalis in North America through photography and doing interviews on video.
Mohamud Mumin talked with Bob Hines and Michelle Alimoradi on the KFAI Weekly News.
