The Minnesota Beard Off
March 17, 2012
Story by Shanna Gratton
Fu Manchu to Soul Patch. Mutton Chops to a classic lumberjack, beards are more than merely a way to be stylish or keep one’s face warm. They are personal statements and a basis for serious competition.
On March 24th, the Minnesota Beard-Off will happen at First Avenue. Participants, both men and women, can compete in several categories - Full or Partial Beard, Mustache or Freestyle.
The founder of the Minnesota Beard-Off, Art Allen, recently visited KFAI and told Shanna Gratton what makes for a great beard.
