McGrath V. McGrath on Voter ID
February 17, 2012
Story by Marty Owings & Ahndi Fridell
Republicans in control of the State Legislature continue to move bills forward that will put a constitutional amendment on the ballot this November to require photo ID for Minnesota voters.
On a program called Capitol Conversations, Marty Owings and Ahndi Fridell talked with two of the leading spokesmen for opposite sides in the debate. It is an odd bit of trivia in this discussion that both gentlemen are named Dan McGrath.
One Dan McGrath speaks for the group Take Action Minnesota, an opponent of the constitutional amendment. The other Dan McGrath speaks for Minnesota Majority, an organization promoting passage of the constitutional amendment. The two men are not related.
Marty Owings asked Minnesota Majority’s Dan McGrath about the origins of his activism.
