Songwriter Carrie Elkin on Pam Without Boundaries

She has one of the leading songs in her hometown of Austin, Texas--an excellent accomplishment for acro-gymnast-turned-organic chemist-turned songwriter Carrie Elkin. You'll hear the song Jesse Likes Birds and more on Pam Without Boundaries Monday morning at 11 a.m., when Elkin calls in to talk about her fun gig Friday night at Landmark Center.

Through tireless touring and unforgettable charm, Elkin has built a fan base dedicated enough to fund an entire album. Now signed to Red House Records, she no longer needs to crowd-source to record her music, but that hasn't stopped her from keeping a busy tour schedule.
