This week on Live From Studio 5!

August 22, 2011
Another two-fer: TWO bands for the price of NONE. First: He's ba-a-a-a-ck! Nolan James is one GREAT original acoustic instrumental guitarist. At the age of 24 he has been playing guitar for over 10 years. His music has been his passion and primary focus for the majority of that time, and it shows. He is a virtuoso who will challenge everything you thought you knew about how a guitar should sound. Check out Nolan here
He'll play the first hour and then talk about a whiplash switcheroo, we fire up Head Eclectic, a four piece band whose experimental fringes are shaded neatly by an accessible thought-driven rock. They are comprised of a traditional drum, bass, and guitar core along with the added flare of a Rhodes piano and the partnering of a microkorg synth and chaos pad sound manipulator. Josiah Quick's impassioned drone hovers over their unique sound to produce an effect that is hauntingly sweet. Should be a great evening. DON'T MISS IT.
