On the 4/27 episode of Radio Pocho we welcome Sota-Rican emcee Maria Isa to the KFAI studio! Born and raised in the Twin Cities, Maria Isa, is a veteran of the hip hop scene fusing traditional Puerto Rican rhythms of Plena and Bomba with hip hop and R&B.
In 2009 she released Street Politics to a sold out crowd at First Avenue. Since then she spent some time living and working in New York and still rocks the scene at local venues throughout the Twin Cities. On tonight's episode we'll get to hear some of the jams she's been working. She'll also be sharing some of her favorite cuts.
