On this edition of Radio Pocho we bring you some of the best Latin@ word slingers from the Twin Cities and beyond. And no we're not referring to trash talking. We mean spoken palabra ese. Special guests in the studio this evening will include Rodrigo Sanchez-Chavarria and Larry Lucio of the spoken word collective Palabristas. Also joining us and making his return to the Twin Cities after a pilgrimage to Indiana, is the talented poet Emmanuel Ortiz. On the phone joining us from all the way in New York City will be another member of Palabristas, Brandon Lacy Campos. As always our guests will be given an opportunity to share their musical influences with us so stay tuned por que va estar chingon.

Palabristas Bio:
Originally a Minnesota-based collective of poets, spoken word artists, writers of chican@/latin@ heritage--members of the Palabristas now live in Minnesota, Indiana, New York and Northern California. We use the power of the word to engage, agitate, and build community. We tell our stories to whomever wants to listen.
Biography
Founded in 2003, the Palabristas includes some of the fiercest Latin@ poets writing and performing in Minnesota and across the country. Members of this award winning spoken word collective include Emanuel Ortiz, Rodrigo Sanchez-Chavarria, Magdalena Kaluza, Teresa Ortiz, Brandon Lacy Campos, Dess Darling, Lorena Duarte, and Larry Lucio.
