Black History Month Celebration, Friday, February 25th

February 22, 2011
KFAI's celebration of Black History Month begins this Friday, February 25, 2011 at 5:00 a.m. and continues through midnight. The celebration begins with three programs focused on topics of national interest, A Small Southern Town: The Nation's Capital in Slave Times, Malaga Island: A Story Best Left Untold, and Race and the Space Race. While these three stories come from Public Radio Exchange, the rest of KFAI's BHM celebration is produced by African American's in the Twin Cities. Education, youth, gospel, work songs, dance songs, blues, healing, Black Pride, and Motown sounds encompass the breadth of content you will hear on KFAI's BHM special day of programming.
The full schedule can be seen here
BHM programs will be archived from February 26 - March 11, 2011, so tell your friends to listen this Friday and, after that, again, again, and again.
