Street theater troupe makes its way down the Mississippi
June 10, 2010
When you imagine a circus troupe that travels the country to perform on city streets, your mind probably thinks back to the Middle Ages. But for the actors who call themselves the Unseen Ghost Brigade, they don't see themselves as dated. Rather, it is they who believe that we should be looking back to the past.
The Unseen Ghost Brigade is a theater troupe whose goal it is to tell people about the forgotten history of those who lived along the Mississippi River. The group will perform their self-proclaimed ghost story in over 100 cities along the Mississippi River, from Minneapolis to New Orleans, starting on June 14.
KFAI's Elena Erofeeva is following the brigade's journey down the river, and she brings us this segment, the first in her summer-long series.
