From the 2009 KFAI Youth News Initiative, Danielle Jenkins is 17 years old and lives in Minneapolis. Her story tackles the nature of gun violence today, particularly in North Minneapolis. She will examine the transition from the fist-fight days of “put up ya dukes” to that of cold-steel guns and “please don’t shoot.”
