Remembering Leslie Johnson and The Mississippi Rag on the Wave Project, August 2

Join the Johnson family and friends on the next Wave Project for a special show celebrating the life and career of Leslie Carole Johnson, editor-publisher of the long-running traditional jazz and ragtime publication The Mississippi Rag.

Tony Johnson and Renee Johnson Burnett will host a look at Leslie's life and her labor of love, The Rag. Joining them will be extended family and well known musicians Butch Thompson, Max Morath, and Charlie DeVore. You'll hear great stories about Leslie, the magazine, and even a few of Leslie's favorites tunes, some of which are guaranteed to surprise.
