Dominguez Honors District Student

June 18, 2008
North Minneapolis High School student Sade Ogundiran recently won the National History Day competition at the state level and subsequently competed and won at the national level in Washington D.C. Working off of this year's theme, Conflict and Compromise, Ogundiran focused her story on African-American voting rights activist Fannie Lou Hamer. State Representative Willie Dominguez recognized Ogundiran's work as a way to engage youth in historical study.
