
Immigrant of Distinction Awarded to Melissa Nambangi

Cameroon-native Melissa Nambangi, who is the co-founder and executive director of the Minnesota African Women's Foundation, recently received the Immigrant of Distinction award from the American Immigration Lawyer's Association. KFAI sat down with Nambangi to find out more about her experience as an immigrant, her life here in Minnesota, and the course of her career.
MAWA is hosting the 3rd African Women in the Diaspora Conference focusing on cultural rites and practices that harm African women and girls. The conference takes place June 20th and 21st at the University of Minnesota Law School.
