MayDay Parade in South Minneapolis

The days are growing longer, temperatures are rising and buds are swelling full. Inside an old movie theater on East Lake Street, creative forces put together the 34th May Day Parade. KFAI's Natalia Pettinari went behind the scenes at the Heart of the Beast Puppet and Mask Theater to find out more about this beloved spring tradition.

The May Day Parade took place Sunday May 4th rolling from Bloomington Avenue and East 25th Street, ending in Powderhorne Park where a ceremony was held.
