Community Response to the RNC

January 31, 2008
In less than nine months, St. Paul is hosting an event that the whole world is looking at: the Republican National Convention. Thousands of delegates and media representatives are going to be in St. Paul as well as an estimated 50,000 demonstrators. What does this mean for people that live, work or own a business in the direct neighborhood of the Xcel Energy Center, the venue of the RNC from September 1st until the 4th? In the first half of this segment, KFAI's Silke Rossman reports on the current sentiment amongst those closest to St. Paul's mainstage and concludes with Erin Dady, Director of Marketing and Convention Planning for the City of St. Paul. She says the timeline of the event, from Labor Day until September 4th is good for people.
