MLK 2008: Charlayne Hunter-Gault

Award-winning journalist Charlayne Hunter-Gault was this year’s keynote speaker for the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday Breakfast at the Convention Center. Hunter-Gault was the first black woman admitted to the University of Georgia and the first African-American reporter at the New Yorker. She recently rejoined National Public Radio as a correspondent following six years as CNN’s bureau chief in Johannesburg, South Africa.
