Greenway Bike Ramp Opens

November 14, 2007
Last Thursday, Hennepin County and the City of Minneapolis hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new pedestrian and bicycle bridge crossing Hiawatha Avenue. The new cable-supported structure is named for former Congressman Martin Sabo. There are mixed reviews coming from frequent bikers, but overall, the aesthetics of the new bridge speak for itself.
You can view images captured of the full incremental construction of the bridge by photojournalist Alan Wilfahrt on his website.
