Truth to Tell Discusses Minneapolis NRP

November 7, 2007
As its second-phase funding looms in 2009, Neighborhood Revitalization Program (NRP) advocates believe neighborhoods deserve to retain control over redevelopment projects where they occur.
On Wednesday, November 14th (11am)Truth to Tell's:node/682 Andy Driscoll and Lynnell Mickelsen lead an important conversation about the future of the Minneapolis Neighborhood Revitalization Program, if it has one. Mayor R.T. Rybak will be here to talk about why the NRP should disappear in favor of a more centralized Community Engagement system. Among them are NRP’s long-time executive director, Bob Miller and its only at-large neighborhood board member, activist Debbie Evans. We want your thoughts on this critical issue, so be prepared to call in. 612-341-0980.
PLUS: As she winds down her visit to Augsburg College where she will have delivered the Anne Pederson Women’s Resource Center-sponsored Koryne Horbal Lecture, Oscar-winning Actress and activist Jane Fonda will call in to chat briefly about her talk, My Life's Lessons about Sex and Gender, and her memoir, Jane Fonda: My Life So Far, just released in paperback. Our thanks to journalism colleague, Assoc Professor Cass Dalglish, for arranging Ms. Fonda's TTT appearance.
