Youth News: Living in the Inner City, Going to School in the Suburbs

Nissan Brown is an African-American student, entering her junior year at Edina High School in the fall. As a 2007 Youth News Intern she is reporting on living in the inner while bussing to a suburban school district as part of the Choice Is Yours program, which allows low income students to opt out of attending a Minneapolis Public School. She was born in Minneapolis.
