U of M is not Business as Usual
September 24, 2007
The Faculty Support Committee at the University of Minnesota held a press conference to announce faculty and student support of University employees who are on strike, and to discuss the impact that the strike is having on regular University business. KFAI's Betsy Pfeiffer reports, Panelists argued that the University is ignoring the impact that the loss of workers has had on the first week of classes and warned that both teaching and research are suffering because of it. Lack of administrative support, difficulty maintaining library materials, and difficulty dropping and adding classes were cited as some problems caused by the strike.
