The Importance of Local Elections on Truth to Tell

September 10, 2007
Why are local elections of so little importance to voters when these are the leaders closest to their daily lives? What is keeping people who should care more about their own backyard than the Presidency turn out in reverse numbers? What can be done to inspire citizen and voter engagement in their local governance?
Listen to Truth to Tell on Wednesday, September 12 (11am-Noon) for a discussion of the St. Paul primary election and other related city issues.
Joining hosts Andy Driscoll and Criag Cox this week:
- Tom O’Connell, Professor of Political Science, Metropolitan State University
- Kevin Driscoll, politics reporter, Villager Newspaper
