String Band Special on Dig Up the Roots

August 1, 2007
Tune in to a special edition of Dig Up the Roots August 7 from 9-11 am as guest host Cyn Collins plays old-time string band music. It's all to get listeners geared up for the 28th Annual Minnesota Bluegrass and Old-time Music Association Festival held August 9-12 at El Rancho Manana. The theme this year is Pickin' On the Banjo, so expect some fine banjo-pickin' tunes.
Cyn will be playing string band music by MBOTMA performers present and past including folks such as Poor Benny, Eric and Suzy Thompson, Dan Gellert, the High 48s, the Mill City Grinders, the Wilders, (former Dickel Brother) Clancy Ward and Sarah York, the Del McCoury Band, the Moss Piglets, Pert Near Sandstone, and many more!
You can hear this special edition of Dig Up the Roots this Tuesday at 9 am. Like all KFAI music programs it will be archived for two weeks after broadcast.
