Worker Wages Follow Up

July 13, 2007
In early June, KFAI reported on a protest aimed at getting back wages for a former employee of the Great Moon Buffet in Columbia Heights. The Workers Interfaith Network is a coalition of unions and church organizations based in Minneapolis that was involved in this process. The worker, Hermalindo Villalobos, alleged that he had not been paid overtime or minimum wages during the two years that he worked at the restaurant. She Jeng Quie, the recent owner of the restaurant, agreed to a settlement with the group about a month ago.
