Truth To Tell Debuts on July 4th
July 3, 2007
With an eye to helping Twin Citians better understand the issues confronting their communities and institutions daily – and encouraging them to engage those issues, KFAI announces the debut of Truth to Tell, a new weekly program that will air each Wednesday from 11AM to Noon. Produced and hosted by local public affairs specialist and Twin Cities media veteran Andy Driscoll and co-hosted by respected editor and journalist Craig Cox, the hour-long Truth to Tell will delve into issues often not covered in depth by other regional news and public affairs outlets and often not with the goal of engaging citizens in resolving the critical state, local, and regional issues they face day-to-day.
The program’s inaugural edition on Wednesday, July 4th (11AM-Noon)will address the status and effectiveness of local peace efforts, and will feature key peace activists Marie Braun from Women Against Military Madness, Joe Schwartzberg longtime leader of Citizens for Global Solutions, and Dick Bernard, president of the Minnesota Alliance of Peacemakers, along with social critic, playwright and commentator, Syl Jones, in examining the make-up and results of what some find a fragmented movement, managed by a narrow slice of the population.
